Listeners can expect Lorin’s unique gritty voice and great lyrics, but he wants his fans to know “I really tried to leave the arrangements on this record more open in places than on the first record so lead players could have fun working with the songs.”

Randall Conrad Olinger Announces Album Title & Track Listing

Randall Conrad Olinger, Swamp rock, rock, blues, slideguitar

Salt Lake City, UT – February 20, 2015: Salt Lick Records announced today the album title and track listing from the upcoming Randall Conrad Olinger release due out on April 28, 2015.

Randall signed on with Salt Lick Records in December 2014 and his album will be the second release from the fledgling label.

Randall plays a jambalaya mix of country, blues, carny-rock and metal, or as he likes to call it “hobo honkey-tonk!” It is a brand of music all his own, crafted from old amps, loud guitars, and a homemade foot drum held together by wires, tires, and other household junk.

When asked about where the name Sail On came from, Randall said, “The content I deal with is a lot about life and death, living your dreams and doing what makes you happy. Life’s never smooth — you take it on the chin and move forward.”

Sail On is just about wrapped up! It is currently in the process of being mixed and mastered! My fingers are raw to the bone and I feel like a whipped mule! It took ten days to lay down ten songs from my heart and soul. I can’t wait to share the record with ya’ll,” said Randall from his home in Colorado.

Album Name:

Sail On

Track listing:

High Horse

You Ain’t Seen…

Boil My Bones

Harlan

Saints and Sinners

Fallin’Down

New Orleans

Time Machine

Dream or Home

Rivers

Bonus Track: Bastards of Neptune

Email: saltlickrecords@gmail.com

Salt Lake City, UT – December 23, 2014: Salt Lick Records is excited to announce the newest addition to their roster of artists – Randall Conrad Olinger, based out of Denver, Colorado.

“I’m honored to be a part of the Salt Lick Family!” says Olinger. “I’ve witnessed firsthand the work ethic of the Madsen brothers, Lorin Walker Madsen & the Hustlers, and Riva Rebels. I look forward to growing, working, and sharing the stage with these guys. 2015 is gonna be one helluva story!”

Randall Conrad Olinger plays a jambalaya mix of country, blues, carny-rock and metal, or as he likes to call it “hobo honkey-tonk!” A brand of music all his own, crafted from old amps, loud guitars, and a homemade foot drum held together by wires, tires, and other household junk. A fearless soul who’s played the street, rail, and river bank, pub, bar and theater. Olinger always brings the best with his honest, foot-stompin’ rock music-straight from the heart.

Lorin Madsen, co-founder of Salt Lick Records, says Olinger was an obvious choice for the label’s diverse group of artists. “We’re stoked to have Randy on board. He embodies the same ideals about making music and knows what it takes. We can’t wait to get things rolling for his first record.”

Olinger’s first full-length album on Salt Lick Records is slated for release on April 28, 2015 with a tour scheduled in support throughout the year.

Check out Olinger’s website www.rcoswamp.com for dates he is currently playing in Colorado.

Salt Lick Records Announces Country Punk n’ Roll Tour

Salt Lake City, UT July 9, 2014: Salt Lick Records announces today the Country Punk n’ Roll Tour with its roster of artists Riva Rebels and Lorin Walker Madsen.

“The goal of the tour is to take two different styles of music with essentially the same rebellious spirit and put it all in one venue,” said Salt Lick’s Josh Madsen.

The Country Punk n’ Roll tour will consist of Salt Lake’s three-piece punk outfit Riva Rebels along side label mates Lorin Walker Madsen and The Hustlers, who play their own version of country music.

The tour is set to cover the western United States with 25 dates announced.

Riva Rebels was formed in the spring of 2012 by Josh Madsen (guitar & vox), Germ (drums & backup vox), and Ron Prince (bass). “Their first single “Family” was recently released on Salt Lick Records with a full-length slated to be released in early 2015.

Lorin Walker Madsen is a musician based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has been playing music for over fifteen years and writing music for almost as long. Within a few years of first picking up an instrument, Lorin began collaborating with other musicians; eventually forming and performing with a number of bands over the years. He spent the past ten years touring the U.S. in some of these bands, namely The Lauderdale and Blackhounds.

Our friend Gavin interviewed Josh about our fledgling label, our plans and why we decided to start it in the first place. We love our hometown of SLC and feel honored to have people interested in what we are doing.

You can check out a copy of the article here: http://www.cityweekly.net/utah/blog-70-9684-salt-lick-records.html
